1) Annual incidence was 4. 5% and HBsAg was positive in 32 cases (19. 0%) of the total cases. Seasonal incidence of HBsAg negative and positive groups was high in winter and that of unknown group was high in spring.
Age incidence was similar distribution in HBsAg positive and unknown groups, but the group of 6-11 years old revealed the highest frequency in negative group. Sex incidence revealed male predominance in three groups.
2) Among the clinical symptoms and physical findings, janudice was higher in HBsAg positive group than other groups.
3) The incidence of family history shows no difference between HBsAg positive and negative group.
4) In HBsAg negative group, the incidence of increased ESR was 65. 9% and mean value was 19.9¡¾12. 5mm/hr.
In TTT level, there were no significant differences among three groups.
In GOT and GPT levels, there were no significant difference among three groups, but the recovery time was slightly slow in HBsAg positive group.
In total bilirubin level, there were no significant difference among three groups but the recovery time was slightly slow in HBsAg positive group. The serum protein electrophoresis revealed slightly decreased Alpha-1-globulin and increased gamma-globulin than normal.
